Yesterday was our last day of school and today, teachers are cleaning up their rooms, getting ready for the summer break. Here in the Lab we are also cleaning up after a great school year...just look back at the posts to see what's been going on.
But summer is no time to shut down the Lab. Starting on Monday, June 13th we begin summer school. Just like last year, we are offering a 4hr a day, 5 days a week, 6 week long coed "Design It-Make It" course for 3rd-6th graders. After the first 6 week session, we are having a 1 week, 6.5 hr a day "Design It-Make It" class for just girls and then another week for just boys. All three of these classes will introduce the students the engineering design process and Design Thinking. They will learn how to use to equipment and software we have in the Lab. Then we'll give them projects to make (while they learn how to use these things) and finally, they will be free to create projects of their own.
So keep checking back over the summer to see the cool things our students make.
